Attorneys Michael Wright and Richard Schulte have presented a class action lawsuit against Kettering Health following the cyberattack and data breach. We filed a complaint with the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court and the document states that the plaintiff party is seeking “monetary damages, restitution, and/or injunctive relief.”
The lawsuit says patients who need chemotherapy, prescriptions and physical therapy have had a hard time getting those treatments and appointments following the cyberattack. Attorneys say this is a major issue because the hospital should have had immediate solutions for these patients.
Wright and Schulte say more than 200 people have reached out to their office with grievances about their recent attempts to get care from Kettering Health.
Wright says this is a time sensitive issue, and the longer it takes to resolve could be dangerous to the health of many patients.
